ART Ignacio is an artist who’s installation pieces seem to revolve around the theme of time, transformation, routine, replication, pattern and growth. His visuals often time revolves around the daily routine of office work. “My starting point is the little creative moments within office-routines, which mostly have a ridiculously small ‘artistic‘ aspect to them.”

ART Apak is a studio run by a husband and wife team, Aaron Piland and Ayumi Kajikawa. Together they create whimsical artwork that explore beauty, mystery, and magic. I’m very impressed with their collaboration. Working with a loved one is not always the easiest thing, however, I can tell through their art that they work extremely well together. Kudos to you guys.

ART This image here by Geoffrey is called “The Diamond Rind of the Ruby Rapefruit”. His other pieces include titles like “Flick the Groom off Your Cake Topper and Turn up the Cyndi Lauper” or “Everything U Fuck Turns 2 Math”. I wonder how the heck he comes up with these titles. His work is an expression of his experiences, memories and interests. He’s compelled to make images to communicate visually with the viewer. “I love engaging in a nonverbal conversation with the viewer that elicits a tangible response to abstract information.” -Smith

Graphic Design I/O has decided to do a new print run because their first 1000 copies sold like hot cakes! Each issue is on a new topic and is interpreted through graphic design, illustrations, paintings, texts, and photography, etc. It’s nice how they noted in their blog about problems that they had come across during the production. It reminds us that designers are humans, too. Mistakes happen. We survive.
