RANDOM THOUGHTS I go through cartridges like no other and I think it’s absolutely absurd how much they cost. I was watching tv today and saw a commercial for Kodak. Apparently, they just released a new campaign introducing their fairly priced inks. You can figure out how much you overpay on ink at their website. Now I’m curious about the quality of the ink.

PHOTOGRAPHY Margaret Bourke-White was a forerunner in the field of photojournalism who had the ability to capture emotional moments of American history. Margaret was a woman of many firsts. In 1929, she became the first photographer for Fortune magazine and was the first Western photographer to be allowed into the Soviet Union. She was the first female photojournalist for Life magazine and the first female war correspondent to be allowed to work in combat zones during World War II.
Warhol Live
EXHIBITION I had a chance to visit the Warhol exhibit at the De Young Museum, SF this weekend. The weather was great and so was the art. This was my first time seeing Warhol pieces in real life and I must say, they were pretty amazing. The exhibit ends on May 17th so check it out when you get a chance.

MAGAZINE I just came across a publication called Wooooo Magazine that is basically a new and improved interview magazine containing truly candid conversations of interesting people. I have yet to dive into the magazine but it does look like a good read.

ART Artist, U-Ram Choe specializes in building fascinating machines that animate like mysterious organisms found in the deep dark ocean. Make sure you click on the videos to view these mechanic creatures in action.
File magazine
MAGAZINE File Magazine is a publication that focuses on graphic design, art, and visual communication. They just recently released their first issue and there’s some awesome work in it. It also comes along with a limited edition print by Geoff McFetridge. Check out their flickr set here.
