FINDINGS This isn’t a photo of a real house decked out in amazing designer products but instead it’s a photo of a doll house! The collection includes a mini iMac, mini Brio chairs, mini Eames chairs, and a mini Wallpaper magazine and much much more.

My book addiction
BOOKS Okay…I just went crazy and bought a whole bunch of out-of-print logobooks. Here is the first one I just received in the mail. Excitement!
Sexy type
TYPOGRAPHY Here’s a flickr set with some pretty rockin’ typography.
Diesel bookstore
STORES When I was in Brentwood this weekend, I came across this quaint little bookstore. They have a pretty nice selection of art and design books.
Monocle shop

STORES I just spent a weekend in L.A. and was eager to check out the newly opened Monocle store. I was a little disappointed when I got there…maybe because I had such high expectations. There wasn’t much of a store experience. However, I did see Gwyneth Paltrow and her family!
George Nelson lamps
PRODUCT DESIGN I was just informed by Modernica about their reissue of George Nelson’s iconic Criss Cross Bubble Lamp. Awesome!
Debbie Millman

DESIGN NEWS Congratulations to Debbie Millman, the new president of AIGA. I’ve always admired how she’s so knowledgeable, composed, and well spoken. The acceptance speech she made at the 2009 AIGA Leadership Retreat is pretty inspirational.
Archer
TYPOGRAPHY Is it just me or is Archer the new black? I’m seeing this typeface all over the place…from Martha Stewart to Wells Fargo. However, I’m kind of disappointed with the new Newsweek redesign and their use of Archer for their spotlight section. It’s such a charming little typeface but when used for the wrong brand, it can look really off.
Partly cloudy
FILMS Partly Cloudy is Pixar’s new short film and I think it might just be my favorite Pixar short…it’s a tie between this and Geri’s Game.
Rune guneriussen
PHOTOGRAPHY Rune Guneriussen has a portfolio of stunning photographs. Rune has the ability to make inanimate objects sparkle with personality. The beautiful lighting in each photograph creates a sense of mystery, whimsy, and mischief. Doesn’t this photo feel like a scene from Life Aquatic?
