colors
MAGAZINE The brilliant COLORS magazine has done it again! Issue 73 is filled with amazing mind-boggling concepts about money. I had the great opportunity to meet with the creative directors. They are such inspiring and kind people. You can really see their personalities shine through their work. They’d make Tibor very proud.
evah fan
ILLUSTRATION Evah is an amazing San Francisco artists who’s artwork reflects nonsense and mystery. Her illustrations are fascinatingly whimsical yet twisted. I also came across www.tinyindustries.com who’s illustration style seems to be very similar to evah’s. They have some lovely work, too.
frederic tacer
Graphic Design Frederic Tacer is a graphic designer based in France who has some very inspirational works. Take a look especially at his Cotyle Type that he designed while he was confined to his bed for a month and half during his recovery from a fractured pelvis. You know you’re a true designer when you can design even while in pain. Design makes all things bad go away!
design is dead
Design News Couple of days ago the world renowned, Philippe Starck told the press that he is planning on retiring in a couple of years because he is ashamed of producing material goods. Is design really dead?? I don’t think so. I believe design has the amazing power to make a difference. We just need to take the time and effort to do so. Long live design!! horray* horray*
i/o magazine
Graphic Design I/O has decided to do a new print run because their first 1000 copies sold like hot cakes! Each issue is on a new topic and is interpreted through graphic design, illustrations, paintings, texts, and photography, etc. It’s nice how they noted in their blog about problems that they had come across during the production. It reminds us that designers are humans, too. Mistakes happen. We survive.

ART Sergei Sviatchenko is a vibrant, contemporary artist who’s collage work expresses his unique vision and individal voice. Elements of mystery and surprise are definitely apparent in his works. Some of his pieces subtly remind me of the flat collages designed by the great Joseph Cornell. Thanks for the links, Sergei!
