ARCHITECTURE Fake Hills, designed by MAD Ltd., is a brilliant building that will offer residential, office, and hotel facilities located on a waterfront site in Beihai, China. Seeing the organic shape of the building, I automatically think the Great Wall of China. “Rather than sitting the building in a perfect, man-made natural garden, our structure becomes the man-made natural shape itself. The design provides both a high density solution and a new landmark for the city.”

ARCHITECTURE How awesome is this bookstore?! I love how the design of the space encourages kids to run, hide, and explore. It feels like a futuristic Dr Suess book come to life. This space was designed for Poplar, Japan’s largest children’s book publisher by Sako, Japan’s leading architecture firm.
