GRAPHIC DESIGN Came across Dave Sedgwick’s portfolio and was pleased to find a collection of really strong work. I especially enjoy his attention to typographic details and clean, editorial layouts.
GRAPHIC DESIGN I’m always excited when I find nice student work! Check out the work of Freddy Taylor who’s currently in his last year at Edinburgh College of Art and interning at one of my favorite firms, NB studio.
FINDINGS The fabulous Jessica Hische’s design will adorn our US stamps. Keep a look out…they’ll be released in 2012. I might just used those for my wedding invites!
GRAPHIC DESIGN Came across the Dali Museum and was “surprised” by the logo. Did a little research and found out that the logo was designed by David Carson. Here’s a video of him talking about his process.
EXHIBITION On view at the Ratio3 gallery in SF is a selection of works-on-paper and paintings on canvas by Margaret Kilgallen. Some are never before seen pieces! The artworks are on view this summer, June 23 – August 5, 2011.
FINDINGS New packaging for Red Hook beer…I’m kinda liking the new chubby looking glass bottle.
GRAPHIC DESIGN Solid portfolio…but might take a while to navigate through their flickr stream. Be patient. It’s well worth it.
